Precious Jewels preschool

Picture
Since 1996, it has been the vision of this ministry to Train and Release the Nationals of Zimbabwe into ministry positions that help to meet their physical needs all while developing their spiritual maturity in Christ, so that God may give them vision for their country.

Over the last 18 years we kept close to that vision and all honor and glory goes to the Lord for allowing us to succeed in this matter! As a collective ministry, American and Zimbabwean, the vision the Lord has given us to continue training and releasing Nationals into ministry is through the development of a private Christian school.

In 2012, we started a Pre-School in Zimbabwe and began the first year with 8 children. By the second year we had 22 and for 2014 we had 44.  Our Preschool “Precious Jewels” is actually a Pre-school/Kindergarten.  After opening the pre-school the office of Ministry of Education approached our Administration/Teachers (Loice and Maria) to begin a Grade 0 (Kindergarten) since there is such a great need for Grade 0.

The cost to attend is $100/month for full day and $50/month for half day which provides all the monthly expenses such as salaries, food, utilities, etc.  We have many more parents wanting to bring their children to Precious Jewels, but we didn't have enough space and need to build an extension onto our building.  This extension will cost us $40,000.  We need to have this amount by January 2015 when we return to Zimbabwe so we can begin construction.

The most current statistics on the need for schools in Zimbabwe for 2014 is that there were 1 Million children signed up to begin school January 2013 and there were no places for them. In the town of Chinhoyi, they are short 140 Schools! The office of Ministry of Education contacted Simba Pisirai asking him to establish a school.

Simba will be the Headmaster (Principal) of the school once once it is established. He is currently enrolled at Johnson University-Online for his PhD program.

Phase 1 Cost: $40,000 COMPLETED

Phase 2 Cost: $100,000 COMPLETED

We have an existing slab on the site of the Preschool. The building will consist of a large multipurpose room, bathrooms, and will hold Grade 1 & 2.  Grade 3 and beyond will be built at a  different location.

Each school Grade will operate on school fees charged to students, so we are only raising funds to build the structures.

Phase 3 Cost: $170,000 to start Project

Having Grade's 1 and 2 open for enrollment, we will be able to meet with Lands Committee to determine land and location suitable for the remaining Elementary and High School Grades.  A portion of the money raised for this phase will serve as down payment on property and will allow us to begin building.
